Accessibility
This accessibility statement applies to the SCVO Credit Union website (scvocreditunion.scot). It does not cover the members’ portal (members.scvocreditunion.scot).
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. You should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser
- zoom in up to 400% with most text reflowing to fit the screen
- use most pages with a keyboard, speech recognition software or a screen reader, although some parts don’t work well yet (see below)
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible. As at :
- links that are only an image, such as logos, and the menu button on phones and tablets don’t change when they have keyboard focus
- some form error messages and confirmations disappear after a few seconds, and screen readers don’t always announce them
- some form errors and hints aren’t linked to the field they describe
- when part of a page updates without reloading, for example after filtering or paging, keyboard focus can be lost and screen readers aren’t told what changed
- a few controls, such as some search filter toggles, can’t be used with a keyboard
- some pages are missing a main heading or have more than one
- some carousels can’t be paused
- some white text on our red and green brand colours doesn’t have enough contrast
- some wide tables don’t fit on a phone screen
- the savings and loans calculator doesn’t tell screen readers when its results change, and its reset button has no visible focus marker
