Who is eligible
As long as you are paid as a worker for a Scottish Registered Charity, you can become a member of the SCVO Credit Union.
You can become a member through your employers, who will deduct your savings or borrowings from your payroll. This provides you with a disciplined way of saving or borrowing. You’ll also have the support of your employer. (If your employer organisation is not a Payroll Partner of the SCVO Credit Union, you might want to encourage them to sign up.)
Alternatively, you can sign up directly as a member of the SCVO Credit Union, which won’t be made through your salary but can be made through standing order or direct debit.
You will though need to verify you work for a Scottish Registered Charity through your wage slip.
Finally, family or partners who reside in the household of an SCVO Credit Union member are eligible to join.
